1. Technical Screening
In the first round of my interview process at Rubrik, I had a video call with the hiring manager, a senior front-end developer at the company. This technical screening was designed to evaluate my technical skills and knowledge in front-end development.

2. Technical Interview
The second round was a technical interview conducted by two front-end developers from the Rubrik team. This interview aimed to evaluate my coding skills and problem-solving abilities. They gave me a coding challenge focused on building a responsive website layout.
I was provided with a wireframe and tasked with converting it into a functional webpage using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Additionally, I needed to showcase my understanding of responsive design principles by ensuring the layout adapted to various screen sizes. This challenge included implementing media queries, utilizing Flexbox, and handling JavaScript events.
I tackled the coding challenge by breaking it into smaller tasks and explaining the approach to the interviewers. The basic HTML structure was set up first, followed by gradually adding CSS styles and JavaScript functionality. Attention was paid to the layout’s responsiveness, with necessary adjustments made using media queries.
Throughout the interview, the front-end developers asked me additional questions to assess my understanding of the code and my problem-solving skills. They also provided feedback and suggestions to enhance the code quality and efficiency.
3. Cultural Fit and Team Collaboration
The final round of the interview focused on assessing cultural fit and evaluating how well I would integrate with the Rubrik team. I had a video call with the hiring manager and a senior front-end developer from the team I might join.
They asked me about my past experiences working in a team, how I handle feedback, and my approach to collaborating with other developers. They aimed to understand my communication skills and my ability to work in an agile environment.
I shared examples of successful collaborations from my previous roles, emphasizing my effective communication, willingness to learn from others, and adaptability to changing project requirements. The interviewers seemed satisfied with my responses and allowed me to ask questions about the company culture and team dynamics.
After the interview, I felt positive about my interactions with the Rubrik team. The interviewers were professional, friendly, and genuinely interested in my skills and experiences.
Final Decision
A week later, I received a follow-up email from Rubrik’s HR department, expressing their satisfaction with my interview performance and extending an offer for the front-end developer position. The email detailed the compensation package, benefits, and the next steps for onboarding.
I was thrilled to receive the offer and eagerly accepted it. The interview process at Rubrik was both challenging and rewarding, and I am excited to join a dynamic team and contribute to the development of innovative front-end solutions at Rubrik.
